I'm curious to see what your playlist generally looks like for your workout.
So what bands/songs frequent your playlists for a good workout?

My iPod playlist is pretty random actually. You'll find all kinds of bands.
AC/DC
Michael Jackson
All kinds of country
NSYNC
Backstreet Boys
Eminem
Bon Jovi
Dave Matthews
Miley Cyrus
...even Hannah Montana songs.
It's really all over the place.
But to get my workouts going, I usually start with these songs to get me motivated:
Turnin' Me On - Keri Hilson
Rock and Roll Queen - The Subways
Don't Trust Me - 3OH!3
-- those usually get me going
Lately, I've been cooling down to:
Courage Is.. - The Strange Familiar
Come On, Get Higher - Matt Nathanson0 -
As I Lay Dying
Haste The Day
UnderOath
Demon Hunter
Still Remains
Reliant K
Living Sacrifice
Dead Poetic
Mychildren Mybride
Norma Jean
The Famine
Becoming The Archetype
Hawk Nelson
Showbread
Basically anything on Tooth and Nail records or Solid State records....lots of Christian metal and metalcore.0 -
Techno for cardio workouts (they have podcasts you can download free that keep your heart rate 'in the zone'). It's not everyone's ideal cardio music, but I find it infectious, bubbly, happy. I was sampling some on the walk into work, and I found myself keeping pace ( new material) with it and didn't want to stop at my desk!!
, and heavy metal for weight training. ARRRRGGHH! I have lots of Disturbed, Metallica, Ministry, Tool, Alice In Chains, NIN, Cradle of Filth, etc, etc. Angry music pushes me through the agony....0 -
George Michael /Freedom
Michael Jackson/ Dirty Diana
Janet Jackson/ What about That
Mark Anthony / I Need to Know
Ram Jam/ Black Betty
The Rolling Stones/ Shattered
Edwin Star/25 Miles
Prince/ Kiss, Let's Go Crazy, Raspberry Beret, Erotic City
Pink
Diddy/Keyshia Coles/ Last Night
Classic R&B
Classic Rock0 -

These sites let you sample the music and download free to your mp3 or iPod. There are a few different bpm's available to keep your heart rate up. Most of it's techno, or techno-based music, which I find keeps me going for longer than the average 3-4 minute songs with breaks in between. Enjoy!
These are just a sampling of sites - I'm still researching, but seriously, these podcasts are usually up to an hour long (and sometimes more), so you won't run out of music anytime fast.0
