Hello!
I have just posted as I've been losing really well but have reached a plateau and not lost at all this week. Some people have mentioned lowering sodium and I've just found out how to add sodium onto my food diary - and noticed I'm going quite over with sodium without realising!!

So... what are the best foods to have for lunches and dinner that are low sodium?
Thanks :)

This is something I've been having issues with. It's one of the reasons my food diary isn't open to the public, lol. Always end up with lots of leftover calories and very little sodium to spread around. I'm not much help, but posting so maybe we can both get some ideas.
  • No worries :)

It seems like whenever I eat soup and fat free yogurts - which I would consider to be healthy, they are really high in sodium so I'm going to try and limit those.

Also, sandwiches come up high in sodium too, I don't normally eat sandwiches but there were some provided at a work buffet today so I had a three different quarters, which took me MASSIVELY over on sodium.

The most annoying things show up high in sodium. It's frustrating and makes it hard.

Some of the negative health effects of high sodium intake are due to the imbalance of sodium and potassium intake (too much sodium, not enough potassium). So what you can also do is try to increase your potassium intake with things like bananas, coconut water, prunes, etc. Many fruits and veggies have potassium as well.
