What is "low carb" to you? How many grams per day would you say and what has helped you doing a low carb diet?

    I am seeing a dietician for recently diagnosed type II diabetes. She has told me to have 45-60 carbs per meal (3 meals a day) and 15-20 carbs per snack (up to 3 snacks a day)....which adds up to 240 daily, but she said to try to keep it under 200g per day. Hope this helps some.

    My surgeon has me on 50a garbs or less per day. He pairs that with 60 to 80 grams of protein.proteins

    Depends on what phase I am in:

    Dropping into ketosis: 20 < net carbs per DAY
    I stay 2 weeks in ketosis then work back up.
    3rd week: 30-40 net carbs per day
    4th week: 50+ net carbs, etc
    Once in my routine, I aim for < 100 net carbs per day.

    If you stall, you can drop back to ketosis for break through weightloss.

    I have been trying to get back to ketosis for 3 days and I keep messing it up. Sigh.
    No fun.
