So I'm developing a sinus infection. I don't feel bad or sick, just a little lethargic. Think it would be safe/a good idea for me to exercise in my current condition? I don't want to put my immune system down more, but I also felt better after my workout. Any of you experienced this?

I've always heard you can exercise as long as you don't have a fever. Hope you feel better!

If need be, lower the intensity, but you should be fine.

I would rest if I were you. Infection can lead to fever.
  • I always feel better if I'm on the verge of being sick if I do a light workout. That, and take an airborne afterwards plus a lot of water!

aww poor thing. I am very prone to sinus infections and feel your pain. I would maybe do something light...maybe pilates. Take it easy and focus on strength rather than cardio.

Have you tried a sinus rinse? Sometimes that helps if I'm on the verge. (Although it just causes more pain if the infection has already set in. ) Plenty of water and zinc also help me. Hope you feel better soon. :flowerforyou:
  • I have really bad allergies that can sometimes lead to sinus infections and I was advised to exercise, that as long as I wasn't feeling nauseous or feveris it would be beneficial. Breathing deeply will help clear your sinuses which in turn will help clear out the infection. Just be careful that your balance isn't affected by the infection. Sinus infections can also affected your inner ear.
