Hi, my name is Samantha and I have 54 pounds that I need to lose. My weight has been a struggle over the last 5 years and I just assumed that one day it would all come off. I would go on some fad diet but cave two-three days in. This time I am not dieting, I am making a lifestyle change. A recent photo and a talk with my niece (of all things...) made me realize that this needs to happen. I hope to make some new friends on here for motivation and support.

Welcome! I'm fairly new too and have a long journey ahead of me to get to where I was 5 years ago. I'm trying to think of it as more of a lifestyle change also rather than a diet. Feel free to add me if you like And good luck!0

I am new. I joined just last week. I love MFP, bc it makes it so easy to track the calories and love to see the net calories after taking of the exercise... I need more "friends"/ supporters on here. I currently have 2 friends on here. I feel I need more support and possibly more advice as to do this whole thing. I am currently looking to lose 100+ pounds, I have 2 children ( a 13yr old daughter and a 17month old son), am a wife, and student...Anyone that wouldn't mind helping me out, PLEASE add me!0
