How do you get yourself back on track?

I was really motivated in November, and I lost 8lbs, which blew my mind because I haven't been able to lose that much in a month before. All about following the diet and exercise. However, I have really gotten off track, and stopped again. I also walk a lot, however, I will be getting a car next week, and I'm afraid all that walking to the bus stop etc. I was doing will cause weight gain if I don't have it anymore. It is so hard to lose weight, because I have to be disciplined with my 1225 calories a day and exercise before work, because I work late. It's soooo hard. but I have many shows coming up, and I want to look good.
Can anyone share their ways of getting themselves back on track? Because if I keep starting and stopping, those lbs will not come off like I so desparately want.

Im not sure if Im qualified to answer this one as am just coming out of a massive break on my weight loss journey.
Everyone needs their own motivators upcoming holiday, wedding, fitting into old jeans to feel sexy, whatever!
You have to remember yours or re-evaluate your old ones.
For me im highly visual. I look at people who are overweight and try to imagine what its like carrying that extra weight around and then realise that could be me! I remember how it used to feels when I was heavier and then I find images of beautiful healthy women and imagine what it will be like when I get there. I also imagine what else will come with that weight loss... new love, fame, fortune, respect..... whatever it may be that will drive you personally.
The other thing I do is picture mysef getting older and I remember that I have to make a decision to either be old fat and ugly or forever beautiful.
Maybe you should also review your calories? remember to lose a little or to plateau is so much better than to lose sight of your goal and go totally off track0 -
I usually try to review my goals and WHY i'm doing this. Why is it important for you to lose the weight? If I think about that before I eat something unhealthy, I'll usually put it back because it's not bringing me closer to my goal. Also, planning your meals/snacks helps. This way, you already kjnow what you're eating for the day and how many calories it is.0

Great advice guys. I think for me it's mainly self-control. And I also eat when I'm depressed and lonely. Usually if i'm busy doing something then I don't eat as much. Then say....if I am sittng at home.0
