So I am working on losing weight. I have done really well, I know when you get *close* to your goal it is better to shoot for 1/2lb a week. What's close, at what point will the transition be? I have 20lbs left so I know its not know, when I have 15lbs left is it then? Or do I wait to when I have 10lbs left?

    Here are the general parameters

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.

Cool, good to know. I have been on 1lb the whole time cause I was too hungry otherwise, but I was curious about the change over

If you become active (even doing lots of walking), you can set your lifestyle as lightly active which will also give you 200 additional calories. So park further away from the store, taking the stairs a lot. If you work a desk job, getting up and walking around. They all help.
  • I've got 21lbs to go, I think I'll change my goals to 0.5lb loss a week. :drinker:

I do exercise but I monitor it with a HRM and eat my my calories (yum yum). So it is accounted for there, my work is still sedentary
