Daily requirements for Iron in MFP Food diary

This is my first week using this site to track my foot and exercise and I am loving it. The 2 additional food items I have chosen to track in addition to Calories, Carbs, Fat, Protein is Iron and Fibre. I notice this system recommends "100" iron. Does anyone know what unit of measure this 100 would be? I have been reading on other sites that my recommended iron intake would be 27 mg if I were pregnant (I am not pregnant but getting my body healthy for a pregnancy in the near future!) so where does the "100" come in??

I believe 100=100% of your daily requirements. Vitamins are always listed as percentages on food packages.0

It stands for 100% of rda, whatever that is. I think. Maybe someone knows for sure. Tried tracking iron, but so few items in the database list it, I gave up.0
