Logging a restaurant meal

The husband and I went out for dinner tonight to our favourite pub. I ordered my favourite, a "Yorkshire Tidbit". Its basically a giant yorkie pudding with steak and leek stew in it and a bunch of veggies on the side. I ate about half of it (hah, I used to eat the whole thing!).
I have no clue how to log this? There is no nutritional info on the pub's website. I obviously don't know the recipe they used. I can estimate the portions, but I'm at a loss as to how much they're worth.
wwyd?

All you can do in this situation is look for a close estimate. It won't be accurate but it will give you some idea of where the calories are coming from.
I'd look up yorkshire pud and enter this based on how much you think you ate.
Then search for a stew, add that separately.
And usually if it's at a restaurant I just add something like "steamed vegetables" because its all such an estimate anyway, I can't be bothered counting carrots and broccoli.
And, well done for only eating half!0 -
When this happens I usually find the best match by searching the food database, and choosing the closest food that matches what I ate. It's not perfect, but it's better than just not logging anything.0

I'd try to log something you think is close to what you ate, then quick add an additional calories. I always under estimate restaurant food.0

I found a "beef and vegetable yorkshire pudding" 350gm. I think its a frozen ready meal.
I compared it to when I eat a frozen ready meal that is 300gm/tray, I figure I ate about 1.5 that amount, so went with that (and entered 1.5 x 350gm, if that makes any sense at all).
It worked out to about 550cal, plus I quick added 100 just to be safe. I'm still about 60cal under for the day, so even if I underestimated by 100-200, I'm not that terribly over.
And can I just say, it was well worth it and I savoured every bite!!!0 -
Yup, that sounds like a good approach. And the best thing is that you enjoyed it0

Thanks for everyone's help!! And Iddreams, I wish I'd seen that sooner, it would've been easier!0

You can Google the restaurant and find the calories in all of their dishes. Then you could add quick calories, or add the meal into the MFP database!0
