Heavy Weights... Looking for others that have 200 lbs to los

Hi, My name is Katie and I am a 31 year old from Wisconsin.

I have been tinkering with this website for quite a while, but I have never tried to network or look for support. I am looking now.

I have a lot of weight to lose (about 200 lbs), and I am looking for others who have a long journey ahead of them too.

I am a realistic, straight shooter, who is not willing to tell a person what they want to hear; and I am looking for the same thing in return.

Please post if you are interested in traveling the rocky road ahead together.

Thanks for reading!

Katie

Hello! my goal is to lose 80-100 lbs. I started at 248 lbs in June 2011 and I now I am 225.6 at last weigh in! I am proud of that but I have hit a plateau. I have stepped up my exercise from Zumba 3 days a week to zumba 3 day a week and added turbofire. My meals are really what destrying my progress. I fail to plan my meals and eat what ever is available (I at least try to eat smaller portions of the bad food choices). I am in this the win it and I could surely use the friendship of some like minded people.

    Yes I'm on your side.

I started this program - just starting my 3rd week. My first weigh in was 350lbs @ age 39 going on 40.
My ideal weight for my height is 140-150, so I have 200 lbs to get rid of. I've actually begun using my
FB account as a daily mini blog which I keep posting on every night listing every cheat, every achievement,
every doubt, every question, pretty much everything. Most of my FB people are close friends or relatives,
so they are a great support network for me. My husband, the IT Geek, is having fun with it too. He is
researching loads of fitness gadgets out there that keep track of calories, heart rate, walking routes, etc..
With all this in place, I have managed to lose 10 lbs so far. You are welcome to message me any time,
I'm a great listener, and trust me I will have my own moments of panic (like right now- Im waiting for my
new scale to come in that evaluates lean body mass and hydration something or other) so I can actually
get an ideal calorie number for myself. My 'old' scale says 342, Im worried my 'new' one will read higher,
but that's ok too. As long as it isn't off the charts ;)

    So welcome to MFP =)

    Hi,
I'm Loretta. My friends all call me Lo-rider. That's because I'm about 4'10. I have lost a lot of weight :about 125 pounds, but never go off the last 25 I needed to go. I was happy in my size 12 petites. Pretty comfortable in my body actually. Then I remarried a guy 12 years younger than myself. He loved to eat. Anything and everything. So, I put on 35# within the year. Now, I find myself living in sweat pants. Even my bras have gotten too small. I hate how I feel. Ive been on my diet since Jan 1 without straying and have only lost 7 pounds. I am not exercising. Find all sorts of reasons to make excuses. I eat 1200 cals per day. I'm doing ok, but I need motivated to try harder. My son is getting married in July and I want to at least look presentable in photos. So....if you can be my motivation, I would be ever so thankful. I'd really like to lose that 35 pounds I regained by the wedding and then say goodbye to those last 25. Make it right for once. I weight 365 pounds at my heaviest. Yeah on this almost 5 foot frame. I am now around 215. Look ok at 175, but really think 150 is where I want to be. I know what the charts say I should weigh. I never weighed 90 pounds. I'm 47 now, and I think that would be way too small. I have a pretty large bone structure and am muscularly built.
I will be here for you as we go forward on this journey. :flowerforyou:

    Hey Katie,

I will be your buddy. I currently weigh 340 pounds and just joined the site. I want to lose at least 190 pounds--goal weight is 150. I just joined a gym and have been looking into eating clean (just eliminating processed food and sugar from my diet). I am curious how tall you are and what your diet and exercise plan are. I am serious about getting it off. I am going to be 40 in March and cannot stay this way. Let's do this together.
