This one's a question for all the guys...:)
I was wondering if, as a man, it was more important for a woman to have looks or brains? And what will catch your eye first? Also, what is the " best " body type? A few rules...be nice, please. No snarky comments needed, dont yell at those who post "stereotypes", and just keep the mood mellow and calm, please Thanks, can't wait to hear what yall think!

Looks hook me in, brains keep me interested.
Best body type? Athletic Pear Shaped0 -
confidence. i am attracted to confidence over body type. a beautiful smile over big breasts.
but oh, a nice *kitten*.0 -
well, of course, 'catching the eye' first will be some aspect of her looks. me ... I look at eyes and the smile.*
but after being pulled in, you can tell very quickly if this is someone you want to be around. if you can't even carry a conversation, I don't care how sparkly your eyes are.
*not exclusively, of course. if a pretty lady walks by with a tight shirt or jeans, yes. I will likely change up the order. but when actually talking with or meeting a woman, eyes and smile are No. 1 on the list.0 -
Looks are usually the initial way most people meet, so that's my answer. Brains are certainly a must.
Body type - that's like asking what my favorite cereal is.... too many choices. But there isn't a single hot body that can outweigh a crappy attitude!0 -
It would be looks first - what the eyes sees
Lust before Love
But its a combination of both looks and brains - getting to know the person that leads to true love0 -
I like big brains and I cannot lie...0

Now that I'm in my 50's, perspective changes. Face it, we're doing this to look better, so looks are important to us all. Brains (like looks) are a little subjective, and frankly, men have little room to judge in this department. Personally, a woman who is happy, self-confident, and non-judgmental is the most attractive to me.0

Looks drag me to the woman. Brains is what either makes me interested in the woman or pushes me away.
In regards of body type. I like hips noticeable  therefore a relatively small waist to show the hips is one of the first things I notice. The next three things in no order, boobs, butt and thighs are the what my eyes inspect right away :blushing:0 -
Looks are obviously going to make you approach someone.
If there are no brains/humor/sense there when they open their mouth, there's no point in sticking around.
As for body shape.
I prefer athletic, but the right curvy lady can be sexy as well.
My tastes span between

And I gotta add, I love most type of women, even the athletic muscular type of woman (not bodybuilder though) but in most cases and as a general description, what I said before still applies0

There is no doubt that looks probably plays an important part and that is not something that can be written down in a list.
Just like women every guy is attracted to different things and then completely opposite things on a different lady.
For me as best as I can sum it up it is a combination of how her hair is done, her smile, eyes, lips cheek bones etc.
Her body can be appealing to me as long as she has a feminine figure and there is some unexplainable and also unconscious point where that stops at either end of the size range.
No two guys are alike in any of this.
Now getting the physical out of the way and actually that isn`t always the first thing appealing,as having a thoughtful, maybe humorous conversation on here or other places where that is the main connection can make a lady physically attractive where just bumping into her on the street may not so much.
Of course a pleasant personality is very much a factor as well as being confident in herself.
Nothing is more desirable then having a thoughtful and deep discussion on something, that is what makes you bond with a person...when they allow you to see their heart and soul and clearly reach out to do the same.
I don`t think when it all boils down men and women are all that much different in what makes us click with a particular person.0 -
Looks first that's the only thing you could go on if you've never met or talked, I'm a legs man, I notice face and legs don't really care how big you butt or boobs are, personality takes over after first impressions0

what he said. also big plus if you are a gamer, sci-fi, geeky/nerdy type.0 -
Looks are noticed first, then personality.
High intelligence isn't required, as long as she's not as dumb as a stump.
Sincerity, compassion, sense of humor, and confidence are very important.0 -

Why can't I have it all? My wife is stimulating; physically, visually and intellectually.
As far as my female friends go, intellect is most important.
As far as women I don't know, Eye Candy.0 -
I think most guys start off with looks which includes body and face.I mean you have to be attracted to the woman.I go more for personality and humor myself. What the body looks like plays a small part but I do have to be attracted to her.0
