Zumba Questions

I have always done the excercise that target more on building muscle. Last night I did my first Zumba workout and it feels super bizarre because everything is so loose and... for lack of a better phrase "out of control". With an excercise I am used to controlled movements and repetition. Did anyone else have this problem?

Pretty liberating isn't it? I started taking Zumba toning classes and love it (even though I suck at it). I'm careful cuz some teachers do a lot of the hip-hop and all that booty shaking makes my lower back hurt. I prefer the samba type songs. But remember, it's more a cardio workout. Not so much a particular muscle builer (except the heart). To get a balanced work out you need to do cardio also. Adding in the Zumba helped me when I hit a plateau. My body is very toned, but I wasn't getting enough cardio. Keep enjoying it!!0
