Made these and they have a nice dense moist texture , really good, but 20 servings in a 9x9 pan is a stretch. More like 12. That would make the calories more like 150 I think. Which is more realistic. Still a fairly decent splurge. Even my kids ate them.

I made these and was pretty disappointed - they definitely tasted like chickpeas - not so horrible I can't eat them, but not something I would serve to anyone else.
It may be because I made a few changes, perhaps if you follow the recipe to the letter they would be better...
I used 1/2 cup brown sugar, oatmeal instead of linseed (flax), ground almonds and a splash of milk instead of the peanut butter. I suspect that the peanut butter would have been the key to masking the taste of the chickpeas.
    I don't think I'll try them again.

Absolutely awesome treat! My kids at almost the whole pan! They couldnt believe they were made with chick peas. They said they tasted like peanut butter. So glad i found these! i will have to be careful as i will want to eat the whole batch before baking them!
