Hi everyone, just wondered if you eat liver out in the US? I have it tonight, it's delicious, but wanted to check im not wasting my time before posting the recipe?:smile:

    Obviously I not in the US but this is a really sore subject:-

    Dog gets it, I don't!

    I am tempted to fight the dog for i and eat it out of her bowl

    Sore subject in your house or in the US? If we gonna eat an animals *kitten* cheeks why should we discriminate against its liver???

    I don't eat liver and nobody in my family eats it. In fact I don't think any of my friends eat it either. I just don't like the taste of it at all!

    Serves 2/3

    400gm chicken liver
    6 mushrooms, sliced
    1 x large onion, sliced
    ! x tbs herbs de prevence
    I x pint chicken stock
    100ml elmlea single light
    50ml brandy
    Fry light

    Fry onions and mushrooms in fry light for about 4 mins
    add brandy...cook off alcohol
    add liver and fry over high heat for 2 mins
    add stock and herbs and reduce heat
    cook on low heat for abour 15 mins until liver cooked (PINK IN MIDDLE)
    Turn off heat, add salt and pepper to taste
    stir in elmlea

    If you have enough calories left some crispy bacon on top is amazing too! :-)

    I don't like the taste or texture, though my parents cook it. I'd eat liver pate. My dogs love it - I make special liver cake for training them!

    I'm in the US and I love liver and onions. It was a cheap meat to buy to feed a family of 7. My mom made it often when I was a kid. I make it a couple of times a year. Any new recipes would be GREAT! Thanks!

    Not my first choice of meat. I'll eat it if that's all there is available, but it would have to be the last choice on the list.
