Hey. everyone..
After putting this on the back burner for a long time I have finally decided to try and take my life in hands. I have gained close to 15/20 pounds (maybe more..i havent gone on a scale for almost 6 months) in the last year and it is really affecting my mental state. I don`t feel confident about myself, If i do it`s just to hide it from others as they all know me as this confident 25 YO women. I'm tired of going to my favorite stores and most of the time not being able to buy anything because i`m too fat for their clothes. I am a full time university student and have a 25/30 hours job as well in order to pay for my Bills...therefore with all the work, homework and studying I barely have time to for myself let alone go to the gym. My bf tried to tell me in a nice way (did not really succeed) to tell me I had to take my life in control and lose weight before it`s too late. I hope this site can help me lose weight and have support from others, since i afraid to share my weight struggle with my friends (except one who is on this site as well :) and i know will help me trough this journey). Well I think that`s about it for me...and i hope i will succeed with my goals :)

Take care everyone!
Chantal

  • I have gained about as much as you, and I know about feeling bad about clothes shopping! You're right, it is hard as a student. We are in the same boat there! I actually took a PE class for college credit to get motivated to go exercise! Just do the best you can! Good luck!

:) tanx! :) Its nice to see that i`m not the only one in this boat..Keep up the good work :) Since my job requires me to stand for 4-5 hours and walk around (work in a clothing store) I think i get a few calories burned..but i definitely need to start doing exercises at home as well..

You can definitely do this! Before I joined this site I myself had gained 30 lbs. I've been using this site for almost a year now and it has really helped me make healthier eating choices. I have adapted to a new lifestyle by incorporating exercise and cutting out the fatty foods and fast food. I've felt like that before and got tired of that feeling so I am here and I can honestly say...it has been the best thing for me! There are lots of people here with similar stories and experiences and you can count on them to encourage you and give you the support you need! Add me if you like! The more the merrier! Best of luck to you!
