Hi,
I'm new to this site. I was just wondering, what volume of water is in a 'cup'?
Is it half a pint?
Thank in advance.

They mean cup as in the measurement (cup of sugar, etc), not cup as in a container to hold a drink.0

Thanks. I'm just trying to work out how many cups I've had if I drink five pints of water.0 -

That's fantastic. Thanks!0 -
Any time you need conversions just google it, there are a ton of conversion sites out there0

5 pints is 2.3 L... or 300mL more than the 8x8oz glasses
5 pints = 80 ounces... goal is 64 oz for the 8x8 oz glasses
google search bar...
convert 5 pints to mL
convert X mL to ounces etc0 -
5 pints = 10 cups0

It can mean anything you want it to mean. I would take it as being 1 cup - which is 240mL in the US and 250mL internationally. Although as I drink water in 400mL lots, my diary actually records how many lots of 400mL I drink as a 'cup'.0
