Think its smart?

Tired of taking it easy and slow, I dont get enough credit given to me I may be a big guy, but ive also been carrying around this weight for a long time. Swimming doesn't cut it, climbing mountains doesn't cut it. Do you think I would survive in turbo fire? I have the determination, Better phrased... Do you think I could handle the moves?

If this isnt something you would suggest starting on, What kind of DVD/Program would you suggest? (Other than "Just taking it easy and going for walks and swimming"

I've never done it before but I'd be careful. Listen to your body and stop if you need to stop.

There is a modifier...stick with her until you see how your knees and all that can handle it... I started TurboJam, the precurssor to TF when I was 330 or so... it took time, and since i have bad knees and ankles, had to modifiy...but now with TurboFire and Zumba I can do most moves... just don;t push yourself beyond what your BODY can handle... because then you may injure yourself which is WAY more frustrating that taking it slower to start.... I would start with the 15 min HIIT and 30 min fire to see how you do...even if you did those 2 solely for a while, and worked up to the longer ones, you are STILL gonna kick your butt! Best of luck to you!! :)
  • Hell yea - go for it, do what you can do and get better every day, why wait till monday, pop that sucker in right now!

I agree with the first post. I started at 307 and though I'm under 270 I'm still taking it slow. When I get light headed or my vision gets blury I know that I pushing too hard. Do not let it get to that point. I do the P90X and most exercises I can't do I just jog in place before trying the next exercise. This gives me a chance to cool down a bit and regain composure.

Go for it! I love Turbofire! It doesn't mess around for sure, but like a previous poster mentioned there is a woman who shows how to modify the moves. Just do what you can and it will get easier. Good luck!

I think maybe it would be best to start with Learn and Burn from Turbo Jam and do the cardio parties from that a few times and jump into Turbo Fire then. Just because Turbo Fire is too hard to follow otherwise and you won't burn any calories at all if you stand there staring at the screen thinking "um...what?" I've been doing Turbo Jam for about a month now and just started Turbo Fire but I still go back and do the Turbo Jam workouts because I can actually do the whole thing. Come over this week and we can do one together. I'll clear some furniture out.
