I have a job interview that is located close to where my boyfriend's parents live, and they have offered to let me stay at their house the night before the interview. Normally, whenever I went to their house, I would bring baked goods--chocolate chip cookies, brownies, peanut butter cookies, as they love sweets and I love to bake. HOwever, they have two younger kids, and are trying to get them to eat healthier, as well as his father is trying to eat healthier and lose weight. It's a bit of tradition for me to bring something and I want to show my appreciation, but I"m trying to think of something healthier I can bring to show that I care about being fit and healthy as well as their goals. It has to be something that can travel or not be refrigerated (it's about a 5 hour drive for me). Does anyone have any ideas on what I could make to bring down there? I usually have a million ideas and could make healthy cookies, but to someone who doesn't know, if I say, "I brought cookies", that won't seem healthy, you know?
Thanks so much for any suggestions!

Oatmeal raisin cookies? Oatmeal/granola bars? Anything with Oatmeal "seems" healthy. They probably wouldn't know the difference, unless they are truly turning into "healthy" people. I guess also, What is their definition of healthy? Low calorie? or High Protein? Whole grain?
But then you could do anything with fruit. Parfaits? I think oatmeal would be the best to do.0 -
Bring pumpkin muffins, they will travel well and are low cal, less than 100 calories each (no frosting). I got the recipe from here, do a search on pumpkin muffins and you will come up with a hit0
