I am new to this site and thought, perhaps, tracking what I do may help me be aware of what I do and eat and stay on track. My long term goal is forty pounds and I would love to acheive this by Christmas time. My plan is to watch my carbs, fats and calories, basically eat healthy! I also plan on doing some moderate exercise at least until I can build up some stamina. Currently, it is hard to lug my 150 pound body up a flight of stairs. I am welcome to any tips or suggestions for success!!

Welcome! I'm sure you will find this site helpful, supportive and informative. Using the very accurate food diary was immensely helpful to me. Good luck with your goals.

    You'll love it here!
Logging everything I eat & drink certainly helps for me. It's all the little bits that you don't think about that add up!
Enjoy the site. Everyone is so friendly:smile:

Welcome! Tracking food and exercise helps keep me honest. DON'T SKIP ANYTHING, even if you're sure it's no big deal.... it all adds up. Record every stick of gum. The flip side is I tend to underestimate (by just a touch) my workouts because that gives me more calories to eat. So on that end, when in doubt, underestimate.

150 is not bad (depending on your height). Adding exercise might be your key to making it easy to climb stairs. Keep in mind that adding muscle is a trade off on the scale. Get those waist and hip measurements recorded as well as the weight.

WoW...I do like this website...quick responses! THANKS EVERYONE!! I have measured almost every part of my anatomy and I am going to do it again in two weeks, I step on the scale once a week. I have actually excercised a bit today. I don't want to do any type of strength training until I drop at least 25 pounds because I do not want to end up looking like a roller derby queen!
