Inspirational Thought for today...

I was just here thinking about changes. Specifically weight loss, but it can be applied to ANY major changes in your life... They take time... It's not about how quickly you can arrive at your ultimate destination, its about the journey getting there and what you can LEARN along the way... Its about once you arrive there, making sure you can stay there... I know SO many people who lose the weight quickly and then they gain it all back, because they were looking for a temporary fix, something quick to take the weight off so they could go back to eating whatever they want... I'm determind I'm not going to be one of the statistics... I don't care how long it takes me, because I know I'm learning so much on my journey to a healthier me. For one, I'm learning how to enjoy life without the need of gorging myself on food. I'm learning how to appreciate the little things in life, like going bowling with my good friends and family and enjoying it, even though I'm terrible. It's about finding ways to make exercising fun, like working out with a buddy, or joining a zumba class with a woman whom I know will make me laugh... it's about stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things... Really experiencing life in the here and now without the need for comforting fattening foods to make me feel better... Because I'm really living I don't need the comfort of food anymore... Life is in the here and now, not the past or the future... Enjoy the time you have, because when it's gone, you can't go back.

So far, I just enjoying being able to see my belt buckle again. I'm sure there's more stuff to come, though.
