Bras

SO in the past month my bra size has changed; I have lost nothing in the cup (I was to big for a DD but to small for most DDD) I have however lost around my chest, so I always feel like my breasts are going to fall out the bottom. I need to go down to a 34 or a 32. The stores that I normally get my bras don't carry the size I would need now, the smallest around the chest in those cup sizes I could ever find was 36.
Does anyone know what stores I might have some luck in finding a size like this? I don't want to spend to much on one because it will probably change again soon.
Thanks.
ps. I'm not just asking about sports bras, I need normal bras more then sports bras.

I am a 32G, and believe me, it can be hard to find a small band size when you are a large cup size.
I got mine online from figleaves.com. If you order from there, don't take the tags off until you've tried them on because they don't accept returns if the tags are removed.
If you aren't sure about your size, you can either order a bunch of sizes and return what doesn't fit, or you can go to a store like Nordstroms and get fitted. I also find that the customer service team at Fig Leaves is really good at recommending sizes if you have a couple bras that fit and can tell them what brand and size they are.
I got the shock absorber. In my size, I only had two or three choices for sports bras, so I got the cheapest one and they seem to work amazingly well. They are hideous, but the girls stay where they are supposed to and it has really opened up my options for working out.
Bras are expensive when you get to the rare sizes, but honestly, it is worth it. I would rather only have a couple bras that fit and have to be washed all the time than have a plethora of cheap crappy bras. I recommend hand washing for them to last longer.0 -
Try www.barenecessities.com. They have a huge range of sizes and a range of styles from utilitarian to very sexy. I can find lots of styles I like, as can my 16 year old daughter. Prices aren't always the lowest but, if you're like me, a high price is worth being able to find something that actually fits. Sales are really good, and a couple of times a year they'll have a 40% off clearance sale.
If you need swimwear, I highly recommend the clearance section of Landsend.
Good luck!!0 -
Try onehanesplace.com. They have most of the major brands but unlike buying them in the store where your choice of sizes is limited they have all the sizes available. Also know that the cup size of a 32DD will be smaller than that of a 34DD which is smaller than that of a 36DD etc. In other words even though the letters are the same they scale them slightly based on the band size.
Regarding sports bras so far the fiona bra is the only one that works for me so you might give that a try. They are expensive but google it and you can sometimes find a deal0 -
Go to a specialty store to help find the right size, then hit the internet for cheaper options! I'm with you, never gonna find that 34 DDD!0

I LOVE LOVE LOVE breakoutbras.com The owner puts little descriptions of how the bras actually fit. I have emailed with questions about my measurements and she replies with suggestions and real advice on which bra suits you. I have bought several from her and have always been happy. I have the same problem. Stores do not seem to sell my size. I need at 34 b/c I am 33 inches around with a larger cup size. Size D cups are usually sold with size 36 to 38 inch bandwidths!! When I was nursing, I had to order (and still cannot believe it) size 34 H!!! Try finding that in a store!! Plus she has great sales and great brands, too.0

Dillard's carries everything from 30H on up.0

I am a wear about the bra and breast cancer thing; I have for many years, as my older brother told me about it. I also have a muscular skeletal disorder with my ribs that bras sometimes aggravate. But honestly I would have to hold my breasts if I were to walk fast, jog, run, jump, bounce, go down or up stairs, ect. So that I’m not in PAIN. So I’ll go with a bra.
Also, did you know that the aluminum in your deodorant is also linked to breast cancer? I have been using deodorant without that for years.0 -
following what that site says it puts me in a 34J :noway:0 -
Try Kohl's they have a good selection and sizes.0

Same thing happened to me. Smaller around by like 2 or 3 inches. My cups are a tiny bit smaller.0

This one is way better:

That third measurement up under your arms is important. I'd always used just the two measurements in the past and wore the wrong size for years.0 -
I wish I could help you, but I am handicapped in that department, as I am the president of the itty bitty titty committee. (sp). But my mom is very well endowed and she always got hers at dillards. They have all kinds of sizes. I just wear a genie bra. It's too hard to find a bra to fit in the width and the cup right.0

that gives me a bigger band size then what I'm wearing now.... and I feel like I'll fall out the bottom....0 -
I always have luck finding 34DD at Macy's, odd as that is. Breakout was fabulous when I was a 34K (not a typo -K) - expensive, but oh, so worth it! I saved one of those for memory sake. I need to try it on some time for kicks!0

Bravissimo.com has some really good sales right now. They go all the way down to 28. I bought some things for my neice who is a 38F, and everything fit perfect. They have sizes that are difficult to find.0

any upscale lingerie store and your area will carry this and they will fit you0

Go to a lingerie shop and be PROPERLY and professionally fitted for a bra. Then if you want to go cheaper try to find the same brand online. Be careful switching from brand to brand, none of the damned sizes are the same. :grumble: :grumble:
Oh PS - Stay away from La Senza, their bras fit really really poorly (for larger chested women), are uncomfortable and disintegrate in the wash (even in my lingerie bag and with hang drying).0 -
