Well I just started working out from 8-10pm. I know its a bit late but that's the only time I have time to workout. Is there any way besides warm milk to make me sleep? should I start taking some sleeping pill? Suggestions please, because I need to wake up at 6am every morning. THANKS

Sleeping pills are probably going to make you groggy the next day. You really should try to fit your exercise in earlier in the day if it's keeping you awake.
I've heard chamomile tea helps you sleep.0 -
Tylenol PM or Excedrin PM might help. Working out in the evening is very hard but it's better than nothing.0

I've had the same problem. In addition to warm milk, I use a product called "Peace and Calming." It's an essential oil from Young Living Essential Oils. I rub the oil on the bottom of my feet, my calves and around my neck. It's smells so wonderful and is so relaxing, it helps me fall asleep without side effects the next day. Depending on your healthcare provider, you may be able to download for free some relaxing music. Kaiser Permanente's Wellness Program on their website has a variety of meditative and sleep "inducing" podcasts that are very helpful. I've had success with both.
Good luck! And be happy you have a job to get up to. I'm currently able to sleep in....0 -
There is a product that is over the counter that you could take and it is called melatonin . Melatonin is produced naturally in our bodies and that is what determines how tired we are and if we sleep through the night. you can find it at walmart atleast. Hope this helps.0

I have to take a sleep pill to go to sleep because of insomnia. Trust me if you don't have to... don't take them, especially if you are on a diet! A side effect of them is sleep eating. I do it all the time. If it wasn't for that, I would probably already be at my goal weight. So if I were you I would try to fit in your workout earlier in the day!:flowerforyou:

I would suggest getting into a routine. This is still new, so your body has to adjust to the 'emergency' nervous system stimulation before bed, and fall into a new rhythm that shuts it down more quickly than it had to previously. After you work out and have a recovery meal, take some melatonin, take a hot shower, keep the TV off and the lights low, and go right into bed. Don't add to the stimulation or make your bedroom a work/TV area. (Also, unless you're training for a competition, there really isn't a reason to train 2 hours a day.)0
