Looking for inspiration and people in the same situation

So here it is, I am 26, Female and this time 2 years ago, I weighed in at 9.5 Stones after doing the Cambridge Diet (Shakes and Soups) for 2 months.

2 years on and I gained it all back and today weigh in at 11.6.5, it's partly to do with a move from London to Dubai where you can walk nowhere and have nothing to do but socialise.

10 Days ago, I literally woke up after months of being unhappy. I joined my local Fitness FIrst, had a full body analysis and have cut out all the unescessary foods. I've been to a Zumba class and trained for 40-60 mins every day (apart from one day).

I have lost 3bs in these ten days and already am sleeping better and have more energy. The thing is, I am in the zone now but I travel frequently with my job so can spend 7 days at a time in a hotel. This is when I lose motivation! In 2 weeks, I have to work in Barcelona for the week, I am freaking out it is going to break my high spirits and take me back to square one.

Loving this site and it looks like there are some real inspirational stories on here. Add me if you'd like to keep up with my journey.

I have around 27 lbs to lose and I'd like to be there by the last day of August 2012.

Maria

    Hi,

I just "woke up" too. I had lost 30 lbs and then I got divorced and moved three time and now work in and office (I used to teach art). So I know how it feels to realize that I have undone all the work that I did before. But I also know that if I did it once I can do it again. I don't travel much except on weekends but it you need a little encouragement, I've got that in spades :)

I feel like I can relate to you because although I dont travel for work, I have four kids that always have me on the go...my oldest three are very involved in school and sports so I dont take the time for myself to feel and look good. I am in my early 30's and I really want to feel sexy and stay motivated to get off my butt and excercise. Please feel free to add me as a friend and I will do my absolute best to help you stay motivated!!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

I've been close to goal 3 times now, and gained it all back again! On my birthday, I rededicated myself to losing the weight for good. I know what it's like to just live day to day, miserable and lonely. I have 61 pounds to lose, in total. I'm here with you! We will not be overweight come August! We can do it!

I feel the same way, I have always been for want of a better word 'curvy' and about 5 years ago I decided to loose weight and lost 3 stone in about 9 months which was probably the smallest I had ever been in my life! After the brith of my daughter 3.5 years ago I had gained weight and was now 2 stone over weight. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work I excerise 5 times a week which seems to be toning me but the lbs are still stuck there! I am hoping with the help of this site and lovley people on it that I can get rid of the weight !

    We can do this!!! :-)

Feel free to add me as a friend :-)

Wow! Thank you guys. There are some truely inspirational stories on here and although I am only 10 days into my journey, I am sleeping better, have actually lost around 4lbs since starting (I only joined MFP half way in) and feel stronger. I might try and make a video blog about my journey to get off the 27lbs so watch this space.

    Keep going everybody!!

When in a hotel do some calisthenics pushups and situps. Also do BURPEES. You will maintain your muscle and can actually lose weight by doing this while maintaining a good diet.
