Personal question about calories for adults

Has anyone with a Fitbit, HRM, BodyBugg, BodyMedia, or any other calorie counter devise has taken the time to count how many calories they burn while having sex? I think it would be a great idea to log those calories too if you think about how "crazy" and "creative" things could get and that equals more calories burned.
This might sound silly but calories are calories and I'm sure we've been overlooking the calories burned during this moments
The downside of this is, it would probably let your to your friends imagination how frequently you do it and how "passive" or "active" you are based on the amount of calories, so it would probably be a better idea to call it something else if you're going to log the activity here

LOL! I was JUST thinking about this last night..I just couldn't post about it haha! I'd like to know. Because if the calories burned match up to an hour on the treadmill, I rather have sex rofl0

Try Google....
but i'm pretty sure 10' on the treadmill burns as much if not more as 1 HOUR of sex...0 -
This has actually been discussed quite a bit. The general conclusion has always been, you don't burn as much as you'd think.0

Well, is not a matter of what it is said, but does anyone actually wears any device to count the calories? And honestly, 10' on a treadmill to equal one hour of sex that's gotta be one tedious and boring hour of sex
All I know is, I'll wear BodyMedia whenever I get back in action and see my own results.0 -
I've never looked into it, but lets just say after certain positions *ahem* my abs are really sore, I suspect I get some kind of workout there LOL0

After I downloaded a free app for my iPad called Joy and seeing the ridiculous amount and some almost impossible positions that people would try, I dare to say I'll burn more calories in 15 of sex than I'll do in one hour of P90X lmaooo. Seriously, I just can't imagine the burning sensation of the isometric contraction to hold a position or body weight for so long and not burn hundreds of calories and be super sore the next day :bigsmile:0

lol I Just looked this up the other day! :laugh:0

hunny, hold on a sec, let me strap on my....HMR so I can log this in later! Love it!!!0

I don't take my BodyMedia off unless I'm taking a shower, so I won't have to wait when the time comes  I'll have to make sure to try it in different occasions and see how the different moods and activities influence the reading LOL0 -

Since I don't know what the BodyMedia is, I'm curious, how do you "read" the data? If you went for a run, for instance, how do you know what you burned for just the run....How does it break down the info or does it just give a total for the day?0 -
*stretches* rawr, i never have to worry about this...why in all abadon am i reading this Dx MY VIRGIN EYES!0

The BodyMedia uses 4 sensors to calculate an approximate to the calories burned while you have it on, whether or not you're moving. Remember we burn calories even while we sleep. It is supposed to be 90% accurate in the readings, so that helps to have a better idea of how much we burn.
The sensors are:
- 3 axis accelerometer
- Temperature sensor
- Galvanic skin response sensor
- Heat flux sensor
Using multiple sensors is what makes us different from other products in the market. For example the heat flux sensor measures the amount of heat given off by the body. This is energy that accelerometer-only products miss when calculating energy burn based solely on motion. BodyMedia uses four sensors to achieve our proven accuracy.
Here's the link where it explains more about it.
