Dont want to fall off track

So I've been steadily losing 3-4 pounds a week since I started using this website. I just hit my halfway point last week, I feel great, I'm starting to look good again, I get complimented everyday on how much weight I've lost. Just when I should be on top of it all, I feel like I'm starting to slip. When I started I would get an hour of cardio in EVERYday and strength train on monday wednesday and friday and do intense ab workouts on tuesday thursday and saturday. So far this week I've ridden a stationary bike for an hour, and played basketball with my soon to be brother in law and father in law for an hour a night. Summer is here and we're starting to do alot of stuff with family, with my work schedule I'm finding it hard to get to the gym and I'm settling for just playing sports with family. Its still a good workout and all but I dont feel like its enough. I had a dream last night that I gained back all the weight I've lost. Just the thought of hating my body and feeling so tired and lazy again is enough to make me sick. I guess I just felt like I should rant.

Thanks for listening,

Aaron

hey man.... it's normal to have fears, both real and subconciously.

it is, however, one of those times when you have to look at your priorities and decide for yourself what you will do. no one is forcing you and no one can make this any more or less than it is to you.

playing basketball, as in competitive sport form, is a great cardio activity -- it's one of the better ones because it incorporates intervals, starting, stopping, changing direction, jumping, reaching, pushing, pulling.... it's an all around good sport. so why not stick with your weight routine, and if b-ball is going to be a common thing with your family, then, by all means, use that as your cardio.

watch your diet, stay on track there and you will be in fine shape, my friend. let them know what your goals are and what you're aiming for, and they should respect the new you you are trying to be... if not, you'll soon be making them envious!

you can have the best of both worlds... and summer time is the best time because we can get outside and enjoy the fresh air and all kinds of activities that double as exercise!

you've got this man, just use your slip as motivation to push it even harder for a few days. that's what I do. you can't allow yourself to get away with doing it over and over, that's when it becomes a problem. Keep eating right and do what you can. You'll hit your goal.

I hear ya! I was jamming for about a month and a half, NO processed foods, working out 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day, losing body fat! I was so happy! I think what happens is we feel accomplished and kind of back off a bit and then little by little old habits creep back in! I'm back on track though and will be continuing my plan. Just think of your past few weeks as a "little hiatus" and get back on track TODAY! Every body needs a rest/vacation and that was yours. No worries about it, just hop back on where you left off! Good luck and Happy Summer!

Thanks guys, I guess I just needed some more motivation.

My highschool wrestling team holds open workouts during a training camp they put on every tuesday and thursday over the summer so I think i'm gonna start hitting those. That should really help with this last bit of weight.

Time to break out the headgear again
