On the weekends I like to take a break from cooking. I want to order take out, without blowing my diet. Does anybody have any tips for doing this without blowing my calorie count for the day?

If you know where you're going, do some research before you go. For all the chain restaurants, you can usually find the information to make better choices, but I've seen documentaries where they can be off, so use reason.

Besides that, there are a few rules I follow:
    - Avoid the bread/tortilla chips (I will even tell them to not bring them out).
    - Pay attention to the sauces they use on the meat.
    - Don't be afraid to only eat half or one quarter of what they bring (doggie bag).
    - On days I know I'm going to be in a bad eating situation, I try to up my exercise to earn more food.
  • Thanks for the great tips. I did look up the menus, but I didn't know how many calories the meals would be. Next time I'll try to find out if I can get the nutritional info.
I also think I'll add in a couple extra workouts to help balance things out.
I'll try looking for the shish kabobs too.
