I wonder is there any one out there who is wanting to lose weight really fast and eating around 2,000 calories a day/with excersize
I am thinking for myself maybe this is a good way to go about it, cause then it's not a crash diet, and it really will be me learning how to eat proper portions, the calculator said at that rate I would lose 4 pounds in 5 weeks, I'm also thinking that losing it that slow will allow my skin to slowly shrink with the rest of me.
And I would think for every one else out there who are wanting to not diet but make a life change would do it this way, cause then it's not a drastic change but a life long one. so I don't know I kinda wanted to get others opinions on this

According to MFP, I'm supposed to eat 2260 calories a day.
I couldn't possibly eat that much, unless I eat unhealthily so... No, I'm not
I only found MFP a few days ago and until then I was eating 1100-1200 a day, which I've learned is not good so I've been trying to improve it with proteins to 1600 a day.
I feel this is fine for me, I'm not going hungry and I'm satisfied most of the day0 -
I eat about 2,000 calories on days when I do a lot of exercise. My calories are set to 1450, but I cycle to and from work, so it is easy for me to get another 500 calories without even doing other workouts (which I do, so that bumps it up even further). Yesterday, I got back 800 calories of exercise, increasing my goal to 2,200 and I ate about 2,000, which still left me with a net of 1,200.
So, if you are exercising a lot and logging your exercise calories, it works out pretty well. I've lost 22 pounds since October (7 of which in the last 6 weeks), so it works for me. Personally, I'd rather exercise and eat more than be struggling to eat fewer calories (personally, I have a very hard time keeping it under 1,500 total, so am definitely keen on exercise as a means to be able to up my calories for the day).0 -

And many ladies in the original topic posting how they couldn't get over an estimate to eat 2000 cal, and yet they are losing weight. And that is 1 to 1.5 a week, faster than you think.0 -
Generally speaking me, but I'm doing a week of very clean and low net eating to shake things up. After which I will return to eating about 2300kCal a day and smashing up the phys!0

Me
MFP no exercise has me at 1900 cal a day. When I start hitting the gym (I LOVE heavy lifting) I'll be knocking back 2500 a day easy and I guarantee you I will be losing inches like a boss.
I hate diets- there's a different feeling when one stops dieting and starts eating with purpose. I eat to fuel the workout and I workout because I love it. So, for me- it's much easier to stick with it. So happy I can exercise again- can't wait to get really started!0 -
Yes, me!
I more or less at my goal weight, or at least at a weight that I'd like to maintain.
My maintenance calories are 1800 and when I exercise (which is almost every day) that means I eat more.
In practice, I tend to eat anywhere between about 1600 and 2400 total calories which usually works out around an average of 1800 net cals a day. I'm not aiming to lose weight fast, but am happy to see that I'm losing about a pound a month which is spot on with where I want to be right now.0 -
I eat 2000 calories a day.....before eating back exercise calories - which I do to some extent.....this will have me lose a pound/week if I do it 7 days a week. But I don't count calories on Saturdays and then I eat whatever I want in what quantities I want them - and I'm typically losing ½ pound/week0
-
I would lose pretty rapidly at a NET of 2000, I suspect. I'm maintaing by aiming around 2400.
Everyone is different. Do what you think will work best for you. I think you're very wise to have maintenance in mind already, because for me, 1200 calories (what mfp recommended) was not good preparation for maintenance at all!0 -
my goal before exercise is 1845 - so when i eat my exercise calories back i eat as much as 2545 - ive been losing an average of 1.5 pounds a week0

Yes. I eat 2000 net each day, so 2000 + my exercise calories.
I'm losing weight on this amount, estimating that my maintenance is around 2400 net0 -
there is whole group for women eating 2000
