im confused.....if i put an energy drink on each meal in my diary it says no carbs but if i put 3 together under the drinks bit i set up on my diary it says its got carbs, same thing happened with ham, 30 gms has no fat, 2 separate 30gm portions has no fat but 60gms in 1 portion has fat. im not sure if i should just get rid of the drinks section but i do want it to be as accurate as poss, thanks

How much carbs does the drinks have if you add the 3?0

I cannot see your diary so going to guess here.. Could it be that there is less than 1 gram. So if you only eat 1 portion, it rounds it down to zero. But if you do 2 or 3 portions, it will average out to be 1 gram?0

I've noticed that as well. If something has 0.4g fat per serving, the fat doesn't show up but if you have 3 times the amount it would show up as 1g fat, when it actually has 1.2g fat. And if something has over 0.5g fat it comes up as 1g. MFP calculates to the closest gram.0

Yup, it's all about numbers rounding up or down.
For the sake of 1 gram or so, don't lose sleep over it!0 -
So my diary wouldnt be totally accurate then if i got rid of drinks and added each drink to each meal as it would say no carbs, but if i kept the drinks bit and added 3 drinks it would be more accurate because it would add the 1 carb. I know its only 1 carb but if each thing i ate or drunk was like that it would be more than 1 carb or 1 gram of fat. thanks for your help guys.x :bigsmile:0

yea, it would be more carbs if everything was like that, and it would add up to something crazy like 30 grams for the week(not really crazy, I was being fecetious)...and that would do what? Why are carbs so vilified? Why do people avoid carbs? Does ANYONE know why? Carbs have about 001% of anything to do with fat gain. So why do we all worry so much about carbs? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??? I'll tell you why? for one, the industry in general is full of crap...2. Because if you cut carbs, you'll automatically lose water weight because your body won't need the extra water to store the carbs. Thus ANY program will help you lose weight because most of them have you eating lower carbs than you probably did before. Otherwise you're talking about entering ketosis, which for most people, is not worth the trouble and doesn't give enough of a benefit for the trouble.0

Yeah if you feel like it helps you then you should keep the drink part. But you could also do it per meal and then just remember that that adds 1 carb. As other people said, 1 carb does not make a big difference, but you have to do what feels good for you.0
