Hi everyone, I'm new to this app but not to the journey of weigh loss - I've tried lots of different things from Weight watchers to Slimming World to no carbs etc I am due to turn 40 in July and would really really really really like to feel better about myself by then!!!! I hope to make some friends on this site so that we can motivate each other and also exchange some good recipes or tips.
Does anyone out there have any good recipes for a romantic Valentines meal?
Hope to hear from you
Bye for now

We will be breaking the rules tonight, we are having New york strips, baby potatos, brocoli/cauliflower mix, toast, mushrooms and tossed salad.0

I'm making homemade meatballs and sauce - serving pasta for my boys and spaghetti squash for me. Serving dinner at the table by candle light is fun too.0

Lasagna, salad and garlic bread at my house:) Kids and hubby love it!0

hmmm healthy or romantic is the question - I am thinking of doing seared scallops on a bed of rocket and chicken breast wrapped in something like palma ham and stuffed with cheese and loads of veggies - I have no calories left after this so no pudding for us boohoo0

thanks all - do you have any ideas for quick packed lunch recipes that are filling and delicious - not asking for much hey x0

Spinach salad with blueberries, grape tomatoes, cucumber slices and carrots with feta, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes; salmon with BUG SPLURGE lemon butter, green beans, and chocolate frozen yogurt for dessert with a little raspberry sauce. Easy and good for you! Then a romantic walk with the dog....0

Right now I'm in Canuckistan with my Valentine and tonight we're having sirloin steaks (7oz before trimming the fat off) and a mix of veg cooked and seared in a pierced metal bowl on the BBQ* carrot batons, new potatoes, parsnip wedges, red onion wedges, red pepper strips, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and loads of whole cloves of garlic, all marinaded in balsamic and a tiny bit of olive oil. YUM!
*Yes it will be -10 out there, yes we are still using the BBQ, yes Canadians are nuts! :bigsmile:0 -

Sauce can be bought in can form and added to the meat.
ETA: I don't use this recipe, I use the canned sauce...:bigsmile:0 -

Maybe next time I make it, I'll try some in a bun! :bigsmile:0 -
