Why am i never sore after i do 30DS? is that ok or does that mean i am not doing it correctly? i struggle while i am doing it so its definitely not because its too easy. I feel like i am not accomplishing anything. grrrr

I'm going to take a quick stab at this one. Are the 30DS you are speaking of Deep Squats? And where are you feeling the pain? Knees, lower-back?
  • You might just be in better shape than you thought, even if you are working at it quite hard during the time it happens. :) I would up the weights, I upped mine to 5lbs this last time I did it, but I'm going to have to up to 8lbs because I do not get sore either.

Your body must be immune to working out so hard!!! :)
I only did it once yesterday, but i felt super sore immediately afterwards. I focused on the girl on the left who was doing the same thing just a little *harder* meaning jumping higher, squatting lower, etc.
I was doing this: when doing the exercise- hold the position for a few seconds and release slowly- this hurts like hell!
    Good luck!

Are you doing the modified version or the full version? When I started I watched the girl doing the modified version. I now try to follow the girl doing the full version. I am now feeling it a lot more!

The first time I did level one I thought it was too easy and had no effect, so I did the entire 25 minutes all over again that day. I was definitely sore the next day even though I didn't feel it at first. I try to go as deep into every stretch, squat, move etc and also use 5 pound weights, for some I use 7 pounds. Hope that helps.

i am going to try doing the DVD twice a day...if i can get my lazy butt up in the mornings that is! i started this morning which is great! lol. on some i use the 3lbs and some i use 5lbs. most of the time i try following the girl doing the harder version. but sometimes when i get really out of breath i follow modified girl. i have asthma so sometimes i think i might die!

if you're doing it full on and not feeling a burn, I'd either add heavier weights or move up a level, can't hurt to do level 2 twice then level 3, or even level 2 then level 3 twice.. some people build up doing level 1 followed by level 2 straight away too.. so it's up to you!
  • I'm right there with you! I am only on level one, day four, but I don't have any of the stiffness or soreness that others have talked about. What does have me sore is a Tracy Anderson Arms Webisode that I found on YouTube. I definitely feel like I'm getting a workout with 30DS but not feeling it the day after. Maybe this will change with Levels 2 & 3??

I am usually only sore on day 1 & 2 of each level.
  • I just started this past Thursday and will I had to stop a few times to catch my breath I did not feel sore. I did the program in the morning and was fine all day. However, the next morning I could barely get out of bed and had a hard time trying to sit at the toliet

I did it again the next day, it was a pain, I'm quite surprised I did not give up during the warm up. I took off Saturday and Sunday and was back at it Monday this time I did not wake up as sore as the first day but I do feel like it's working for me.

When I've done it in the past (never have done it everyday, just when I want to) I am busting my booty during, but I am not sore hours later or the next day. I would just say you are just in better shape than you thought. And the next time you do it, sink lower in the squats and maybe increase your arm weights.

you don't have to be sore for it to work :) The only time I've been sore is when I first started and when I had a trainer. but on my own now, nothing
  • I have been wanting to post this same question. I have did level one and am now on level two and I feel the burn of all most every move and push my self to do the advanced up and never sore. For maybe the first two days of level one I was but not any more. I wish I knew why?

Are you using weights? If so, how heavy are they?

I was never sore either except when I followed Natalie and deep everything deeper and more intense and added heavier weights.

I have a difficult time w/ 30DS during it, but am not sore the next day either. I know I'm burning Cals though b/c I'm wearing my HRM. I think every body is different and I think I don't get as sore because she breaks up strength and abs with cardio - If it was just strength training I would probably get very sore.

I would say (1) make sure you are giving it your all & (2) up your weights --- I'm sure you are doing it right!!!
