Hi
I know this might sound like a silly question to some but I was hoping someone could tell me anyway. I bought Neals Yard Wholefoods - Golden Linseed from Holland and Barrett but it doesnt say if its crushed or not and from what I understand to benefit from Linseed it should be eaten crushed. How do I know what crushed Linseed looks like anyway and how do I know what I bought isnt crushed?
Tried googling an image but not really coming up with the answer.
Would appreciate if anyone could tell me if the linseed from H+B is crushed or whole?
If it is whole how do u crush it anyway or could I just put it in the blender with my smoothie or is that not considered "crushed"... at a loss
thank you
Maryanne

If it is not crushed, it will look like a bunch of sesame seeds : same size, only a tad darker. I don't know what "crushed" looks nlike, but I grind mine up in a coffee grinder and it comes out as a coarse powder.
The problem with eating the seeds uncrushed/unground is that they pass right through you !0 -
Thank you yes u right about them passing right through you thats what I heard too (so kind of pointless really if u dont crush them). Thank you for your reply, I suspect mine are not crushed as they do indeed, look like a bunch of sesame seeds.
