It's all gloomy and rainy and I was suppose to go jogging today. Niiice. :grumble:
I went to go get a membership at this gym that has a Women's Only level.. and initially it sounded good.. $39 a month. Least that's what was on the website. I call.. they HAVE to see me. so I say OK.
I go in .. talk to this little buff dude.. and turns out.. i have to pay about $300 right then and there... WTF? Talk about misleading.. needless to say.. I said forget it.... and left.

Get workout viedos for when the days are like that. Saves money on a membership. I find my gym membership a waste in the warmer months. I use work out viedos that way I can still work out in the winter and rainy days.0

You can get a 300 dollar used treadmill lol Make your own Women Only level.
I need one too- it's about 92 degrees out there and the humidity is around 70%. UGH. I'm going to have to wait until midnight just to take a walk. :grumble:0 -
Go to a 24 hour fitness. Ask to speak to a member services rep. Tell them you dont have a lot of money but really want to join. I was able to get signed up for $65.00 including my first months payment and its only $30 a month. Its not Women only, but trust me they have a great system. And when you sign up you can earn rewards like a free visit with a personal trainer. You can also get a 7 day free trial on the web. Hope this helps!0

OMG I know. We sold our old one to my In laws..and i kind of regret it now. But we weren't using it then and my FIL really wanted it. He gave us $50 for it... we didnt want to take his money but he insisted... anyway.. now he's lost about 15lbs!
It's about 99 degrees here every day.. and the humidity is like 10000% hahaha.. so running outside is no fun here.0 -

There isn't any 24 Hour Fitness here! :frown:0 -
I second the exercise tapes/dvds. I really like walking 2-3 miles with Leslie Sansone. Or you may need more strenuous ones like the 30-day shred. Either way, it's nice to do it whenever I want to by myself and under my ceiling fan with the AC on 65. lol I do that on days I'm too lazy or it's too hot to venture out to Curves or walk outside.0

I love gyms...in theory. I think anyone can do cardio on their own, but gyms are great if you're trying to build muscle...all of the cool equipment. They cost so darn much though! There are some good sites with free workouts: www.exercisetv.tv (check out the cardio tease workout- it's so much fun) and www.sparkpeople.com are two I use. I promote them religiously now, I should be getting pad. lol0

jogging in the rain is SO refreshing, just try it. give yourself a destination and try to make it there in record time to try and avoid being super super soaked. i wish it was raining here, i can not run in this heat.0
