ONLY TRIED IT ONCE....At The Cheese Cake Factory. I believe it was toasted (or maybe baked) and on thier appetizer menu. Had to pop them open to eat the beans! It was so yummy. Does anyone have a recipe for this. I have no idea what to do with it once I get it. I've bought some frozens "pods".. Now what??:huh:

Steam them, roast them, throw them in stir fry. Yummy any way! I just can't eat them myself...0

I buy the frozen individual servings at my grocery store. You just microwave them for a couple of minutes and bingo. Yummy snack with low calories0

They are in the frozen asian food section at my local Walmart along side the egg rolls and wontons.0 -

I buy mine from Costco in indivdual packed portions. 12 in a box - just pop um in the micro wave for 3 minutes and they steam in the bag. Take um out and salt them!!
Having some for lunch today as a side!!! Packed with protein! Love it!!!

I would use them the same way you would use beans or peas..................and yes, they are so yummy. Bet they would be good with Quinoa,Chicken and garlic..........mmmmmm:bigsmile:0

PictSweet makes a steamable package. They are good, but you have shell them after steaming in order to consume. These were salty when I reheated them the next day (1 package contains 2 servings). Otherwise, they were delicious!!0

had these for the first time yesterday and they were lovely. why do you have to add salt though? they're nice enough without salt. kind of like a cross between a peanut and a pea.0

I find them near other frozen veggies. Usually not a HUGE selection, so look closely! Pict-Sweet (right name??) has a version that you throw whole bag in microwave for a couple of minutes. Remove, sprinkle kosher salt all over. Publix and Cascadian Farms also make them in pod (and sometimes out). If in pod, I throw them in a bowl, cover with a little water, microwave for 2 mins. Remove, top with kosher (or sea) salt and fresh ground pepper. Sit, suck those babies from the shell, and enjoy life.0

I just discovered these too. I find them shelled at Trader Joe's in refrigerated section and frozen in pods (also at TJ's). Pop a handful in the microwave for 45 secs or so and they are great! No seasoning required!0

Aye, been hearing/seeing folks talk about em, so I wanted to at least give em a try... Bought the frozen ones in the pod, tossed em in the microwave (was a microwave steamer pack), and served em with supper... The wife didn't really care for em, nor did our 14 year old (they both stated "I prefer boiled peanuts"), but me and our 4 year old polished off the package no probs.... I think she may have actually eaten more that i did, in fact she ignored the rest of the food on her plate to grab more...0

Steam and eat out the pod! I make a ton and eat it cold as a snack0

Sea Point makes then dry roated slightly salted and they are good to eat for a snack by the handful0

I bought some frozen organic edamame (not in the pod), and it's good when it's cold, too. I don't have it often though.0
