I get so annoyed when people post about "loosing" weight, or when I can't find a single piece of punctuation in an entire post. I'm sarcastic and snarky by nature, and I always want to reply with a smartass remark, but I refrain because I know people will actually get butt-hurt. I swear, it's going to drive me to binge eat.

So, here: let loose (not "lose") your latest grammar/spelling pet peeve !

I posted this because I saw the "loose" thing for the 1200th time and then someone spelled "Brazilian" "Brazillion" or something.

    Using the wrong words like "their, they're, and there" or "you're and your" REALLY bugs me. That's not spelling mistakes, but ignorance. Paragraphs with no punctuation or capitalization send me over the edge. If I find a post like that I usually quit reading it because A) It pisses me off, and B) It's really hard to understand when all the words are just running together.

    My biggest pet peeve is the word "definitely." I just saw "defienetly" on my homepage. RAWR!!!

    It just makes posts hard to follow and can be really frustrating if you're looking for something specific >.<

    I cannot handle spelling/grammar mistakes either. I know my grammar isn't perfect because I don't remember all the rules, but I have no excuse not to remember how to spell. I don't ever bring up someone else's spelling mistakes because some people really struggle with that and just plain can't spell.

    NO kidding, right? If you can't punctuate anything, no one knows what you're talking about. One of the BEST things is when someone decides to comment on another's "grammer". Ughhhh. Spell check was invented well over a decade ago, people. Come on!

    Do you not realise that some people, myself included, suffer from dyslexia. I try my best to spell & punctuate correctly but I'm not perfect.

    it's called l337 speak. It was cool around the time the movie Hackers was popular.

    I would rather be happy THAN be miserable.

    Than is a comparison.
    Then is a sequence.

    I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR COMPLAINING ABOUT. SOME PEOPLE CANT SPELL OR DO GRAMMER WRITE BUT IT DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE WORTH LOOSING YOUR MIND OVER IT!!!!

    hahah... I work in college admissions. We recently had a student turn in an entire essay this way. It Was About Two Pages Long. It Must Have Taken Him Hours.

    I'm sorry this upsets you, but think how I & the others you are picking on feel.

    This is the reason I posted a separate topic rather than actually make fun of someone on an unrelated post. It's nothing personal. It's just a pet peeve. If you knew it was going to bother you, I'm not sure why you'd cilck the link in the first place, honestly. ;/
