Hello all! I am needing some input from you guys on what I should be doing. I work odd hours (530am-6pm), and I need to figure the best way to fit a workout into my work day. So far, I have been going to the gym before work. This requires waking up at about 315 and hitting the gym for 30-45 mins of cardio followed by some weightlifting. My question is, is this too much of a workout to do before eating? I get sick if I excercise with food in my belly, so eating before my morning workout would entail waking up at about 2am! :noway: I usually eat about an hour after working out when I get to work. Breakfast usually consists of Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal and skim milk. Unfortunately, working out on lunch or after work is out of the question in my situation. Ideas?

What you are doing is fine.
You really don't need to have food in your belly. Your workout is actually being fueled by what you ate the day before typically, anyway.0 -

Thanks for the replies. Ill keep doing what I am doing! My main concern was that I read somewhere that if you do cardio without eating first, your body will begin to use muscle tissue for fuel. Seems a little out there, but I just wanted to be sure, so I asked the experts! LOL0
