My plan...good, bad or just plain ugly?

Well... I need help! I'm told this is the first step when you have a problem. I took the last week off because I had been at a plateau for about 3 weeks and I was getting really frustrated and I just couldn't take it. I refuse to even look at the scale for another week!
I have a new plan and I'm wondering if you think it's okay?
1. Set my goal to lose .5 pounds per week.
2. Start Couch25K program this week.
3. Eat back exercise calories.
4. Do Jillian Michael's 30DS 3-4 times per week. (I'm hoping.)
5. Get my 8+ glasses water each day.
6. Get my fruits/veggies each day.
7. Get my sleep each day.
8. Have one great cheat meal each week!
9. Cut down sugars.
10. Up protein.
I guess I want to make sure I'm on the right track. Is all of this necessary? I think before I wasn't exercising enough nor was I eating enough calories. Anything anyone can add or any advice would be great. I need all the help I can get. Do you usually eat your exercise calories back and have a cheat meal? Do you have a cheat meal or day? Maybe this plan is just fine. I'd love to be at my goal weight by May so I am willing to do just about anything to work it off.

I have no idea because I just started, but I wanted to say good luck and could you point me in the direction of info on the couch25k? I am interested.0

It all sounds amazing!
The only thing I have to say is don't be afraid to drop one of your goals if you get overwhelmed. As you get more comfortable with dieting and exercising, you'll be able to take on more
And the most important thing: just keep at it!
Good luck0 -
Great plan. Make sure youre eating enough calories, especially with all the working out you do.
I used http://www.cordianet.com/calculator.htm to figure out how many calories I needed because MFP was setting me at 1200 which was wayy too low. I don't necessarily eat back my exercise calories but when I do workout really hard and for long periods of time I eat over my usual calorie limit. On the days I don't get to work out I eat a little bit under my calorie goal. Just gotta know your body I guess0 -
Sounds pretty good! I think you can do it!0

Very GOOD plan! Kudos for not giving up and instead just changing your approach. Good Luck! Feel free to add me if you need a cheerleader.0

Looks like a great plan, and many of those goals complement each other, so that will help you achieve them. I think with your positive attitude you are in great shape to succeed.0

I can't comment on your plan since some of the stuff I have no clue about; however, I can assure you this...great meal planning...intense weight lifting and high intensity interval training (HIIT) is the fast & most effective way to lose body fat.
What I can comment on:
1.) H20 - thumbs up...drink as much as you can per day!!
2.) Eat #1 - protein; #2 - veggies; #3 - fruits...in that priority.
3.) Cut simple sugars out almost completely...I know...it's hard for me too.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!0 -
I'm starting C25K tomorrow!!! I was going to start it the other day but I broke my only pair of glasses and couldn't see until today lol

Glad to hear the plan passes!
Brandongood...I read the link and I like it. I went to Runner's World and basically the concensus is move more or eat less to get that calorie defecit and I really don't think I can eat less, nor do I want to soooo, I'm adding the running. Thanks for the link by the way.0
