Ok, so, I have been at this for three weeks. My first two weeks, I was really getting discouraged. My scale wasn't moving. I was beginning to think that I would be fat forever!!! I was seeing all of these other people post losing 6 lbs their first week and I was like :grumble:
Ok, well, if you were where I was, this is for you....
There seems to be something magical about the third week  Or at least for me this is the case. With barely loosing anything at the end of the first week, then the second week...being discouraged, having my MFP friends telling me to hang in there and stick to it,..the results would come.....The third week....I seem to be loosing something everyday. If not a whole pound at least several ounces.... I have already gone down 3 lbs this week and its only Thursday!!!
So, I thought I would post this for you guys who are in your first or second week and already getting discouraged because you are not seeing the big losses.....STICK TO THE GAME PLAN. Don't give up!!!! Your metabolism will kick in...your body will "catch up"!!! If you are doing the work, you will see the results.

I'm thinking I won't see any lbs dropped by monday, or next week, as I yo-yo diet. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't plan on giving up either.

I totally gave up trying to DIET. I am washing that dirty word right out of my vocabulary.
This is now my new lifestyle. I have made healthy changes that I have incorporated into all of our meals. I am becoming totally addicted to exercise  (I guess I'm a weird-o, but I LOVE IT)!!!
No more Dieting!! Dieting never got me anywhere, really.... I always ended back where I started or worse.
    Good luck!!!

Godd job girl!!!!! And she's totally right, a "diet" suggests that you're only eating this way to lose wait and then back to your old ways...but it should be a complete lifestyle change. A forever choice. And really, is it so bad? To eat lots of fruit and veggies, whole grains, etc. Beofre I changed my eating habits I thought it would be much harder than it actually has been but I find as I keep going it becomes easier and easier, plus I like discovering new healthy recipes and products, I to get excited about this and about my workouts (most of the time...everyone has those days where you just don't feel like it). I'm not saying never treat yourself, that's unrealistic and unfair to yourself. As long as your good choices outweigh your not so good choice, you'll be just fine.

    Absolutely!!
Whenever I have that feeling of "I could really skip my workout today...it really wouldn't hurt"....I kick my butt and make myself do it anyway.... In the end, I am ALWAYS so glad I did. Not only do I feel better pysically, but there is something mentally empowering about it!!
