Raspberry Ketone for weight loss?!?

Hi everyone! I was looking for a little feedback. Dr. Oz featured raspberry ketone supplements on his show recently as great way to help lose weight. I also received a request from a client to write an article about it. Has anyone used it and got results? I'd love some feedback. In my research for the article I had convinced myself it was great! Now, I know diet and exercise is key too.

    I dont know but I saw it on the show too and have found it almost impossible to buy! Everywhere I have found it has been $50 a bottle, or $12 a bottle but a bottle would only last 15 days or so =/

    I've heard they are really difficult to get right now and yes expensive. Although there are some sites I see selling them for cheaper than that, but I won't don't know how much I would trust them. I put together an article for a client of mine (I'm a freelancer) about them and they just seem too good to be true, so I'm skeptical, but interested at the same time.

    I work in a pharmacy, and after I received about 15 people asking me about this, I did some research. I decided to look up the evidence that backs up Dr. Oz's claim that it is a "miracle fat-burner." Long story short, it's not a new chemical (been around since the 60s), nor has it been tested in humans. Also, they do not recommend people who have heart disease, diabetes, asthma/COPD, or neurologic or depressive disorders to take it because it may effect your condition. Last I checked, most people who are trying to lose weight will most likely have some of these conditions. Also, the data shows that in mice, when eating a high fat diet, those on the ketones will gain less weight, but still gain about 2 times as much as the mice consuming a normal fat diet. So pretty much, all you need to do is just cut some fat out of your diet and maybe eat some fruit every once and awhile. It's definitely cheaper, and will probably work better. I hate Dr. Oz pushing this crap.

    Thank you so much for the information. If it hasn't been tested on humans,then Dr. Oz definitely shouldn't be pushing it, he should know there's thousands (at least) of people who watch him everyday and will/do follow exactly what he says. I usually think if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I just wanted some feedback from everyone. Thank you :)
