Good morning fellow challengers! Sorry this is started a little late this morning. I had a dentist appointment...fun for a Monday morning, right?! Oh well. So...last week was horrible for me. My father-in-law went back into the hospital because he was having problems breathing (for anyone who didn't read my posts last week, he had a heart attack). But...he's fine again so it's all good! However...the diet...not so great! I weighed in at 169 this morning! Oh...I suppose I should list all the stats first:
Started MFP (November 2007)--183 pounds
New Years (January 2008)--174 pounds
Before Vacation (March 15th)--162 pounds
Last week (March 24th)--168 pounds
This morning (March 31st)--169 pounds:explode:
But...I guess I'm not really surprised because being at the hospital made eating properly almost impossible and my stress levels were most likely off the charts which can contribute to weight gain! So...today is the day! I'm drinking lots of water and going to the gym tonight for some cardio! I can feel it! I'm getting back on track today!!! So...good luck to all of you and I will post my successes as the week progresses!!! (OMG! That rhymes!) Anyways...GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I just found this today! What a cool tool!
What is the July Goal Challenge? I am currently at 218 my goal is 145 to 150 and I was originally 276 as recently as 2/26/07. Weight loss has come to a screeching halt though!! And I find myself getting really depressed! And you know what happens then!? EAT So far so good though! I just seem to be stuck at 218.
I love this site!! I look forward to using it.

Sorry you had a rough week kistinbee... I did ok last week but I realized that I needed to up my intensity so I traded in the leslie sanson walking workout for the cruch dance party cardio workout... and boy am I feeling it... also worked on doing slow and controlled strength training... seemed to work because my legs are like jelly at the moment... lol...
Started MFP (3-21-08)--265 pounds
Last Friday (3-28-08)-- 264 pounds:drinker:
It's coming off slowely but surely... and I am celebrating that one pound and looking forward to adding more to it... so it doesn't get lonely you know... hehehe...
Have a great week ya'll

bakersdam - welcome aboard
athomemommy - you are a true inspiration! Keep at it! Your before and after pics are amazing!
For me, I had a great week! I must have been bloated the week after Easter (had a 2 lb weight gain)! So here are my stats...
Start of JGC: 182 lbs
Last Week: 168 lbs
Today: 163 lbs
Loss of 5 lbs
Total loss for JGC: 19 lbs (only 13 lbs to go before I hit the 32 lb loss for JGC)
Total loss for MFP: 27 lbs (over half way to my goal weight)
Good luck everyone... :bigsmile:0 -
Not the greatest week for me. It was a water retention week so I knew I wouldn't lose much if anything. I also decided to eat a little extra because I feel like my body is not getting enough food somedays.
Start MFP (Nov 07) - 182.5
Last week - 153.4
Today - 154
Goal - 138
The water retention should be over in a few days. I have started the Crunch/PushUp challenge for extra motivation and because I think I may be at a plateau. I think I will also drop my calories back to normal for the week and change up my exercise. I have only been running on the treadmill and it is hurting my hip. This week will be Tae Bo, crunches, pushups and free weights. Hope it works!
Have a good week all!0 -
Last week: 229.6
Today 230.0 :explode:
gotta just keep on trying...0 -
Looking forward to this challenge!!!!
New Years (January 2008)--154 pounds
Friend's Going Away Party (March 15th)--141 pounds :smooched:
FL Business Trip (March 24th)--142 pounds :noway:
This morning (March 31st)--140 pounds
:glasses:

Thanks for the support all! I also forgot to mention that it was a certain special time of the month last week so I'm sure that didn't help me either. But I am excited to kind of get back to the norm starting today! Sounds like all of you are on the right track and know what you're doing! Keep it up!!!

Started weight loss plan Jan 08 @ 268
joined MFP Feb 08 @ 262
As of today 3/31/08
248 @ 22% body fat
17.5" arms
25.o" quads
17.5" calfs
46.0" chest
18.25" neck
40.0" waist
Getting closer to my goals. Work outs suffering this past week due to shoulder pain. Saw the doc today. Most likely rotator cuff injury. gonna lay off heavy lifing (upper body any way) for a week and try some rehab exercises for my shoulder. Hope to get back into the gym soon with no muscle loss. Just dropped my daily cals by 300 per day to compensate but may have to go down more.

Ok, I'm still not logging my weight until this Friday. Life seems to be getting in the way of exercising and staying with my healthy eating.
These days I'm either so busy I don't eat enough calories or I have social events planned and eat/drink too much.
On the upside I had a great weekend. I started my half marathon training. They did a 1 mile fitness test on each of us. I ran the mile in 12 minutes 30 seconds and my trainer said my heart rate was awewome!
Oh, and I got to see Bruce Springsteen on sat too! :drinker:
Kistin, sorry to hear about your father in law. Hope he is feeling better

So...I hopped on the scale this morning, and it said I'm back down to 164! I will wait and see if I maintain that, but that's good! Remember...I was at 169 this Monday! So...I'm pretty sure I was retaining water and the stress most likely added to it! So...just thought I'd report! Thanks for the support!!
