**Women Only** Fibroids....

Hey Ladies,

I just recently found out within the last year that I have a large fibroid. It started off the size of an orange but is now the size of a small football (and the change happened in less then a year). The only thing my doctor recommended is I get pregnant soon because it will stop the estrogen from feeding the fibroid. I am a little nervous and it has started causing me some discomfort. Have any of you had this issue? Any diet advice you can recommend? Surgery is not an option for me since the fibroid is sitting on an artery. Luckily I am getting married this year so pregnancy is an option - just seeing if there is something else people think I can do.

I know 2 women who have also had them (one of them was 6lbs and the other was the size of a 4 month fetus). They both had to have hysterectomies but one friend who also had it, had a new type of procedure. Look here for the latest on treatment methods if you're interested: http://ehealthmd.com/content/newer-treatment-options

That is interesting. I had a friend who had them and they told her not to get pregnant because it could be dangerous. I would get a second opinion.
