Yesterday I was having a really nice day out walking round a big park with my other half and kids when I started getting really stressed and down for absolutely no reason (not angry stressed just felt on edge). Then when we had got home and the kids where in bed I just passed out on the sofa at about 8pm.

When I finally woke up I was saying to my otherhalf that maybe I'm coming down with something and he said "oh no you always get like that when you eat sweet stuff! Your like a druggy you treat yourself to one sweet then you lose all self control and eat things you wouldn't normally during the day and it really affects your mood!"

So my question is can sugary junk food really effect you that way? Or is he talking rubbish?

When my 5yr old has sweets and his sugar levels raise he is like the devil.
    so he's banned sweets.

My brother gets very edgy when he has too many sweets. I've had more than usual the last day or two and I was completely on edge tonight too (but maybe that was just me being on edge, I don't know, there hasn't always been a connection for me, though maybe with stress levels.).

I don't think I get like this from sweet stuff, but I'm definitely moody and not nice to be around when I'm hungry.
    Are you eating enough?
Or, if you think it's the sweets, start paying attention to your food and your mood. Maybe add notes to your food diary so you can track how you feel and see if you can pick any patterns that match the kind of food you are eating.
