This might sound like a really silly question but as you lose weight and tone up do stretch marks disappear or fade dramatically at least???
i ask because i have lots of them on my tummy and i hate them  :explode: :explode: :grumble:

Unfortunately they never totally disappear. I have them too, they suck. There are some pretty good cream to help them fade.0

Depends on how long you've had them, your age, your skins elasticity, etc. Creams don't really "fade" them they do become less noticable but they really haven't changed. Keep your skin moisturized. Drink lots of water. And focus on being healthy.0

They never really go away. Just learn to live with them and take solace in the fact that faded stretch marks on a ripped, in shape body will be the last thing people are paying attention to0

i have tried every lotion, potion and cream on the market and none of them have made a difference at all, however they are fading after loosing a bit of weight that i have lost so far so ill keep my fingers crossed that they fade some more :sad:0

Are they from a baby? If so, how old are they? My daughter is turning 2 and they are JUST now starting to fade. Also, have you ever seen a fit girl with stretch marks? They look sexy. xD I'm sure once you're in shape you'll hardly notice them!0

Mine are very light in color not really noticable @ all. It takes time but once you start to lose weight they will fade. But I don't mind mine.0

I hope my battle scars fade but really with ripped abs and a tight body I would not mind if I could still see them a little. I will still be hot!0

If you want honesty, I will have to tell you that they will not always be purple or pink, but they will always be there to some degree. My daughter is 14 and I have stretch marks over literally 50% of my skin. My legs even have them down to mid calf on the backside, and almost to my knees on the front side. My arms, chest, back, stomach and bum all have them BAD. Some of mine are only 1/8 of an inch wide, and several are up to 1 inch wide and have never shrunk. Some people find tanning to help them blend in, but I am pale, and so for me it makes them stand out worse, because everything but the stretch marks tans, and they are left white and more noticeable. While I am pale they do blend in much better. It's different for everyone though.
After 14 years they are still there, and still shiny in the right light. I have found when I put on too much weight, they swell sometimes and can look worse, but the same goes for when I lose too much weight. At that point they get wrinkled, pucker and sink in. I have used creams and lotions for years and years and nothing has helped, and I finally have just learned to accept them. They are part of who I am and no amount of wishing will make them go away.0 -
I had them really bad all over and they do fade it just takes time but they fade into a light brownish colour.
I did use bio oil and palmers butter which i think helped a little. the key is just keep moisturing i think

I honestly used to HATE them (I'm pale as well) and spent all last summer in over 100 degree weather in jeans because my stretch marks extend to the back of my calves as well. But y'know what? We had babies. We made something beautiful. We should not be ashamed. And in all honesty, I think we notice them a LOT more than anyone else would.0 -
Strivectin
A few things to mention, it is expensive and you have to use it 4x per day for stretch marks, but it does work
If you have a Costco in your area, you can get it there way cheaper than the department store. It also does wonderful things for the face. I started using it and the last facial the esthetician asked me what I was using on my skin instead of trying to sell me her product.0 -
