Alright, so as someone who has lost most if not all of her weight by diet alone, the fitness part of this is coming in a little late for me. I've been trying to run these past couple of weeks, and while I've improved in speed, I could never seem to run more than half a mile before having to stop because my chest just hurt so bad and I was having trouble breathing.

Well. Today I tried running after a few puffs of the magic inhaler...Low and behold, I ran a WHOLE MILE without stopping!!! I know it isn't very long, and I know that I was probably going really slow, but I DID IT!

THIS MEANS I CAN RUN I'm way too excited for my future...of running...more than a mile at a time! (I haven't done that for YEARS).

Way to go! I had the same thing, maybe not as bad as you, but my doctor called it "exercise induced asthma." Weird to me that that exists . . . anyway, I've found that chewing gum while I workout - especially running - helps me maintain normal breathing. When I do chew gum during a workout, I don't get a pain in my chest and I don't get coughing fits the rest of the day. Hey, whatever helps keep me going, right?

Keep up the good work! :drinker:
