I just went to see my Specialist at the Hepatology clinic the other day (I see her every six months) and she was thrilled to see how much weight I'd lost! I told her about MFP and she was very interested in passing it on to some of her other patients.
When we reviewed my ultrasound results, the imaging technician had commented on how it was easy to see my angiomas and image my liver and other organs (as opposed to all my previous ultrasounds that had complaints and caveats about how difficult it was to get a good image because of "girth").
My specialist was also able to palpitate my liver properly for the first time.
She even removed me from the waiting list for bariatric surgery, and said if the did call me to tell them about MFP
Now that was a great appointment!

Good one, I have to get on track and stay there. I know it's not easy and its not going to be. I'l keep on fighting and thanks for the inspiration. What kind of exercises do you do and how much did you weigh if you don't mind me asking?0

I weigh 277.2 pounds as of this morning. My exercise is primarly 1 hour of treadmill walking 3 or 4 times a week - I keep increasing speed and incline to keep my HR up. Once Spring arrives here I plan on getting out on my bike and back to walking outdoors. I will eventually incorporate more strength training excercise into my program as I move forward.
Thanks, Mike0 -
