I'm going to Luna Park for a 21st today. I really don't want to eat over my cal count, as I have been going really well since I started (nearly two weeks ago). The party has food provided but I don't know what food. Any suggestions? I was thinking of bringing a sandwich, a piece of fruit and some nuts that I can eat like it was a normal day. Has this worked for anyone else, or did you give into temtation?
Are there any other suggestions anyone can make?

I would not suggest bringing your own food. Life will always have events, celebrations, etc. and you don't want to avoid them for the rest of your life in order to be healthy. Focus on portion control. If you have the app on your phone, look stuff up before you choose what to eat. Take your best guess at how to count things, how much, etc. Do the best you can, enjoy the party, and tomorrow is another day.
Being healthy doesn't need to mean that you can never enjoy life and celebrate all the wonderful events.
A few weeks ago I attended a company all-employee event with a lot of free and very good food. I went over my calories for the day, but was under for the entire week and still lost my weight for the week.0 -
Yeah, just have fun! One day off won't kill your work. You can get right back on track tomorrow.0
