I know MFP recommends 8 cups a day. Sometimes I get to lunch time and realize I haven't had any water to drink. So, I end up chugging like 3-4 cups at once. Will this have the same effect (flushing toxins, etc) as just drinking it regularly throughout the day?

  • No, just start drinking water when you remember. And start drinking more the next day!

I carry a water bottle with me. That does help to get the water i need.

Your body consumes more water than you realize since most foods are made up of water - it's why veggies and fruits are so low-calorie.

Getting 8 cups a day is important and I think that whether you chug some in the morning, afternoon or night - as long as you make sure to keep hydrated, you'll be fine.

Just make sure on days that you eat more sodium rich foods that you drink more water so you do not retain fluid.
