I just started Bob Harper's "Total Body Transformation" workout dvd and it is a killer! It is designed to get people out of a rut, and so far it is doing a great job for me. Good luck to you!

From your homepage it looks like you are pretty active. It is totally a mix of exercise and eating right. So i would say keep exercising and try to pick healthy foods over junk, stay withing your calorie count that MFP gives you, eat all your calories but make them healthy ones.

A suggestion I learned back when I did go to a personal trainer for 6 months (forever ago it seems)... Change up your workout - reasonably frequently.

If you are not doing weights, start, if you are, change the routine and exercises you do significantly. If you typically dance, run, if you run, cycle... you get the idea.

Your body adapts to what you ask it to do - If you keep asking it to do the same things, it eventually becomes efficient at doing it as you've built up enough muscle, endurance, stamina, etc. for that and the same effort will not burn the calories it used to. If you change it up completely, your body will need to build elsewhere, work on elsewhere and you may see a better return on your invested time.

I know this isn't rocket science advice, but it seems a surprising number of people don't know this, or apply it. Don't let your body become acclimatized to your workout routine and your efforts will be better rewarded.
  • okay, thanks guys this really does help!!!!!:)
