Sometimes you just feel hopeless..

sometimes, on this journey of weight loss I feel like I'm running on a hamster wheel. running and running and running and despite all efforts.. remain in the same place. I guess when you battle with yourself for your entire life, it can begin to feel like that. Some days are better than others, some days you wake up and you feel like you could conquer the world and other days you kind of want to stop and say.. why am I even doing this? We sabotage ourselves, put a screeching halt to our efforts and let the weight come tumbling back on, only.. in a couple months to feel 50,000 times worse and there we are back at square one. Anyway, reason for the rant:

this morning when I was working out (for the first time all week) I was letting the guilt of not getting to the gym eat away at me and as absolutely corny and stupid as this sounds "innocent" by taylor swift came on my playlist. It's a sad song, but at the same time very uplifting, it made me realize.. (as taylor would say) that I often leave myself in my own warpath, and its just not acceptable anymore.

I'm sure many of us have felt like this at some point, and I really suggest that if you dont already have it, download "innocent" by taylor swift. I hope it helps some of you in the way it helped me.

all my love

Kate

  • I adore those lyrics of that song, and it really hits home! I know exactly how you feel, it is a huge struggle of mine. We can conquer this together.
