world book day costume ideas!!!

Next week is world book day and I need a costume that is from a children's book and cheap. Help please! x

    When I was teacher, I had a Cat in the Hat hat so I usually drew on whiskers and went that way.

    yeah I might just get an accessory and see what I can put together. No one tells you that you spend half your wages on stuff for school!

    I've always done pippi longstockings...pigtails pointed outward with thin wire/garbage ties work too, freckles, and some crazy mixed up clothing...tote one of the books with you and your costume is set.
