Polar FT4 acting funny....suggestions?

so my polar ft4 is taking a long time to initial pick up my HR. now its dropping my HR during my exercise or telling me its 219 when i'm walking or 91 when i'm working my hardest. I changed the battery in the transmitter. I'm going to change the watch battery too but I was just wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues.

    I had this issue when I didn't wash the strap properly. I replaced the strap and the problems went away.

    Wash the strap in the washer with detergent only.. NO fabric softener. Then line dry and that should fix your issues.

    Also make sure it is wet enough when first starting and that the area around where the transmitter straps on is totally dry.
